Marc Rovner is an East Rockaway attorney who has been general counsel and director of business development for BETA Abstract, LLC in Oceanside and online at https://www.betaabstract.com/. Outside of his work as an attorney, Marc Rovner also contributes his time to community organizations, such as the Children’s Rights Council (CRC) for which he was awarded Council Man of the Year in 2004.
Of the organization’s many activities, CRC is involved in facilitating parental involvement regardless of the circumstance of the parents’ separation. The organization’s mission is to be an advocate for children by making sure that both parents play a role in the child’s life, and the CRC does through advocacy and its access centers. CRC Access Centers collaborate with the court system to initiate planned meetings between children and their parents-both supervised visitation and monitored transfer access service. The three Access Center locations are Hyattsville, Brandywine, and Anne Arundel County. Because separation can be emotionally hard on children, CRC is set up to reduce the suffering that happens when children do not grow up with both parents. In addition to these immediate goals, the CRC also advocates for custody reform as well.
