East Rockaway, New York-based lawyer Marc Rovner is the senior staff attorney and director of business development at the multi-million dollar title insurance company BETA Abstract, LLC. A season ticket holder for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL), award winning and acclaimed East Rockaway, New York attorney Marc Rovner has been to more than 1,400 games. The first game he attended was in 1970 with his father, whose favorite player, Eddie Giacomin, started in goal.
Giacomin ranks fourth and third all-time, respectively, in games played and wins by a Rangers goaltender. First place in both categories are held by current New York netminder Henrik Lundqvist. The 37-year-old native of Sweden has played in 857 games and boasts a win-loss-tie record of 449-298-93. Mike Richter ranks second all-time in games payed (666) and wins (301). Selected by the Rangers in the seventh round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Lundqvist spent five seasons in Sweden before debuting with New York in the 2005-06 season. He posted an impressive 30-12-9 record to go along with a 2.24 goals against average (GAA) and .922 save percentage that season, and has been fairly consistent in his play ever since. Lundqvist had his best season in 2011-12, when he won the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender and posted a 1.97 GAA and .929 save percentage. Entering the 2019-20 regular season, he was only five wins back of Curtis Joseph for fifth all-time in goaltender wins. Martin Brodeur holds the NHL record with 691 wins.

Outside of his legal pursuits, award winning East Rockaway attorney Marc Rovner is a passionate fan of the National Hockey League's (NHL) New York Rangers. The East Rockaway resident has been to more than 1,400 games since 1970.
In an effort to bolster their forward depth prior to the start of the 2019-20 NHL season, the Rangers signed free agent Michael Haley to a one-year, $700,000 contract. A native of Canada, Haley signed a professional tryout contract with New York prior the the start of the pre-season and appeared in five games before earning the guaranteed contract. This is his second stint with the team; he previously played nine games with New York during the 2012-13 season. The 33-year-old split last season between the San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers, and recorded six points in 43 games. He made his NHL debut in the 2009-10 season with the New York Islanders and has since appeared in 248 regular season games, accumulating 10 goals, 21 assists, and 637 penalty minutes. He's expected to be featured on the Rangers' fourth line, while prospects Vitali Kravstsov and Filip Chytil earn top-six forward minutes in the AHL. |
