Many visitors are drawn to Barcelona for its well-known sites, such as the Barcelona Zoo and Sagrada Familia. However, the city has plenty of hidden attractions for tourists who want a more authentic experience. Below are some of Barcelona’s underrated sites and attractions: - Horta Labyrinth Park: Located in the northern part of the city, Horta Labyrinth Park is the oldest garden in Barcelona. It is made up of a neo-classical and a romantic garden - the former dates back to the 18th century - and features numerous statues, ponds, and a palace. Further, the garden houses a labyrinth that guests can enjoy. - Museu de la Xocolata: This unique museum details the history and origin of chocolate in Europe. Throughout the museum, guests can marvel at numerous chocolate displays and exhibits while enjoying the smell of the treat. Meanwhile, the museum’s gift shop sells a variety of chocolate treats to satisfy guests’ hunger. - Guell Pavilions: Created by Antoni Gaudi, the Guell Pavilions in Barcelona’s Pedralbes area feature everything from a horse ring to stables, garden, and a gatekeeper’s house. The University of Barcelona owns the pavilions, but visitors can still see structures such as the Dragon Gate.

As general counsel and director of business development at BETA Abstract, LLC, attorney Marc Rovner oversees and supervises company’s entire legal department. In his leisure time, attorney Marc Rovner enjoys traveling, with his favorite city being Barcelona, Spain. A city full of history and rich cultural heritage, Barcelona is also home to many famous buildings that are popular tourist spots year-round. That said, here are two of the most visited buildings in Barcelona. A marvel of Gothic architecture, La Seu is renowned as one of the most beautiful structures in all of Barcelona. The building is dedicated to Santa Eulàlia, a martyr and Barcelona’s patron saint, and her body still lies enshrined beneath the cathedral’s high altar. Smaller gardens and chapels can be found in the building’s cloister, as well as flocks of cackling geese. On hot summer days, the cloister is a welcome refuge from the heat. Casa Milà is a famous work of architect Atoni Gaudi, and it especially unique in that it has no right angles anywhere in its construction. Situated in the Eixample district, it still stands as one of the most impressive and popular structures in Barcelona. Its inner courtyards boast many natural colors and are girded with rounded shapes among the wall. Casa Milà got its “quarry” nickname because of its eccentric design. Shortly after the building was complete, the city of Barcelona declared it to be a work of art. |
