A native of East Rockaway, New York, attorney Marc Rovner serves as general counsel and director of business development at BETA Abstract, LLC. Outside of his professional pursuits, Marc Rovner contributes to the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps children in need. Recently, the Garden of Dreams Foundation hosted nearly 30 preschoolers for a Sesame Street Live Let’s Dance! Clinic at a Manhattan studio. A cast member from Sesame Street taught the children choreographed dance moves from the Sesame Street Live Show. Moreover, Elmo and Cookie Monster paid a surprise visit to the children at the rehearsal. Cookie Monster and Elmo performed and assisted the children in learning the dance moves. After the clinic ended, the children received gift bags containing Elmo dolls courtesy of Garden of Dreams. Since 2008, Garden of Dreams has helped to enrich the lives of over 310,000 children and their families. The organization hosts over 500 programs and events annually.

The Five Towns Community Chest is a non-profit organization that aims to promote harmony and improve the living conditions of residents in and near New York. It was started in 1931 and has maintained the same community focus since the beginning. It coordinates volunteer activities and fundraising efforts in order to maintain its services. Five Towns has a youth advisory board in addition to its board of directors. One of the organization's most notable programs is the Neighbors In Need initiative, which takes local families who are in need of food, clothing, or finances, and works to provide services for them to help them through their rough patch. Since the inception of the program, Neighbors in Need has worked with hundreds of families. Five Towns has a community center, an early learning center for children, and an adult enrichment center, in order to match the needs of locals of any age. Marc Rovner is a major Bruce Springsteen fan and has seen him perform live more than 100 times. Currently performing across the world on the River Tour 2016, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are celebrating the album The River, released in 1980, on a 63-city tour in North America and Europe. The tour began in Pittsburgh and will end in Gotheburg, Sweden on July 23, 2016. In honor of their fifth studio album, the band will play the entire album from start to finish at each stop. Unlike their last tour, the shows will feature only the four members of the E Street Band, Jake Clemons on the sax, and Patti Scialfa, Soozie Tyrell, and Charlie Giordano on the organ. |
